Laura Jennings
Social Worker - LMSW-C
I believe everyone has the ability to find joy, love, and community – wherever you have come from and whatever situation you find yourself in now. My goal is to provide you with support and encouragement in a safe environment as you work to achieve your goals. I’ve been working in the field of mental health for 10+ years and wouldn’t choose to do anything else.
I also value the opportunity to walk alongside you as you make your way through life’s journey. Filled with ups and downs, trauma and joy, life has a way of overwhelming us at times. It can often be helpful to have someone present with us in our pain, sitting with us as we process and seek growth. I believe in holistic care, looking at individual strengths, backgrounds, and beliefs that empower you to become the best version of yourself, connected and authentic in your engagement with the world around you.
I specialize in treatment of Bipolar Disorder, Trauma, PTSD, relationship conflict, anger management and Developmental Disabilities. I have training in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and utilize evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I specialize in Children/Adolescents, especially in the areas of attachment and healing from trauma. I also use mindfulness, relaxation, and acceptance throughout our sessions together.
