Lana Banegas
Marriage & Family Therapist - LMFT
My approach to treatment is to strengthen each person to become a self-aware, strong individual who is flexible enough to engage in meaningful, authentic and healthy relationships. I do this by inviting you to accept yourself just as you are and where you are now, while working with you to help you to heal from your wounds, and change your patterns of interaction so that you may become the best version of yourself and enjoy healthy and satisfying relationships.
My style is direct yet compassionate.
I work with individuals who feel anxious and self-conscious and struggle expressing themselves authentically or managing their feelings of anger. I help you make sense of your reactions and feelings while guiding you to replace them with healthy and authentic words and actions.
I work with individuals who desire spiritual guidance and are grappling with questions of faith, meaning, calling, and pain. I help you process life’s challenges in the context of your faith and your vocation.
I work with couples who are locked into destructive patterns of communication, and lack emotional and sexual intimacy. I teach them to resolve conflict with grace and self care and to connect with one other out of a place of personal integrity and trust.
I enjoy gently guiding people to make the sometimes difficult, yet vital, positive changes in themselves and in their relationships. Most importantly, I provide couples and individuals with a safe place to process their feelings and with practical tools to help them achieve lasting change.
