Kristan Seaford
Counselor -
My name is Kristan Seaford, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, groups, and families from adolescence through adulthood. My specialties include couples counseling, depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety, women’s issues (self-esteem, juggling work and family life, eating disorders, infertility and pregnancy loss, and post-partum depression), surviving trauma, chronic pain/illness, grief issues, career counseling, stress management and adapting to life transitions.
My counseling approach is person-centered, meaning that I meet people where they are and trust them to lead us through the work we’ll do. Because I view the most important part of counseling as the relationship between counselor and client, my primary goal is to build an easy rapport and a deep level of trust between us. Next, we’ll define our goals and devise ways to reach them. Then the real work begins. Counseling is hard work, and each client will progress at different rates. But I am confident that the benefits of counseling far outweigh the costs.
I feel honored to be a counselor because I know it is a privilege to be trusted with someone’s deepest thoughts, feelings, goals, and dreams. I love helping people from all walks of life as they face their most frightening fears, surmount their biggest challenges, and experience their most defining moments. I look forward to meeting you and to walking through the counseling experience together.
