Kimberly Thompson

Licensed Psychologist - Ph.D.

Are you a bright, capable woman feeling ambushed by the emotional challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, or new motherhood? Motherhood demands that you acquire a whole new skill set, which can leave you feeling stressed and overwhelmed. There are many ways that this stress can manifest itself, including moodiness, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, and strained relationships. However it shows up, your quality of life is diminished. It doesn’t have to be this way. My focus as a psychologist is on improving the lives of women just like you. As part of the doctorate in clinical psychology, I earned a parent-infant mental health specialization, and did my post-doctoral training year in an ob-gyn clinic. I have spent the years since then focusing on the particular emotional concerns of women during pregnancy, the postpartum, and new motherhood. I provide the safe space you need to talk through the pain. I have the professional skills to provide you with gold-standard care. And, I take the time to support you all the way through to healing.
