Hi, my name is Kiersten Kelley, LCSW (she/her), the Owner, and Gay Therapist at Liberation Counseling, LLC, the place where social justice and counseling meet. I offer virtual counseling and resources for mental health and social justice. As a mixed queer woman and LGBTQ-affirming therapist, I see every day how environments and systems can affect our mental health and ability to heal and feel safe. That is why social justice and counseling go hand in hand in finding liberation.
I work mostly with LGBTQ adolescents and adults who experience trauma, anxiety, and depression. However, I specialize in a variety of mental health struggles as seen below that often intersect with trauma such as depression, ADHD, identity, stress, and self-esteem issues. I provide a holistic trauma-informed perspective using play, art, dialectical behavioral, and somatic experiencing therapeutic approaches. These approaches allow individuals to explore their traumas, identities, and emotions while learning coping skills in a safe space.
