Kate G. Edwards
Psychologist -
Pain is turned to suffering when experienced alone. In my practice, I focus on bearing witness to your pain while employing scientifically validated techniques to help you mend your suffering. Together, we will work to gain an understanding of old patterns while looking forward to the future.
To facilitate this work, I draw from many therapeutic modalities including interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as well as psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and mentalization-based therapies, or as Dr. John Allen puts it, “plain old therapy.” I am also training to be a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
I hope we can start working together towards healing so that you can strengthen your relationship with yourself and others by finding your felt sense of wholeness, authenticity, and calm. If you are interested in learning more about who I am and possibly working together, contact me to set up a free 15-minute consultation. www.ThePurplePsychologist.com
