Karley White
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist -
With all of the available information on how to “live your best life,” it’s easy to get confused and overwhelmed, especially when you already feel so lost. My job is to help filter through all the noise so you may uncover inner balance and your unique life narrative. I aim to help you trust yourself, move beyond shame, make peace with your imperfections, and create a more authentic way of living.I believe growth is best cultivated through curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. Throughout our work together, you are the author of your life story. I am the copy editor guiding you through a journey of exploration, understanding, and acceptance. I will encourage you to reflect on your values, relationships, behaviors, and aspirations to identify and deconstruct dominant “problem” stories while empowering you to live your preferred narrative. I also like to bring a sense of humor and playfulness into my work, and I especially love to incorporate my clients’ hobbies and passions into therapy. Are you an artist, musician, gamer, or really into a particular film series? Let’s talk about it!I practice from an LGBTQ+-affirming, sex-positive, kink-positive, antiracist, and anti-ablest standpoint. I consistently work to check my biases and honor the lived experiences of marginalized groups through research, supervision, consultation, and personal reflection.I primarily work with individuals (teens and adults) struggling with shame, trauma, low self-esteem, sexual entitlement/compulsivity, intrusive thoughts, narcissistic tendencies, and those navigating masculinity and personal identity. I also work with couples experiencing conflicting sexual preferences and infidelity.I invite you to reach out by phone or email if you’re ready to get to know yourself and enact meaningful change. I look forward to joining you on this transformative journey!
