Karisa Severe

Licensed Professional Counselor -

Hi! My name is Karisa and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.I have my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in addiction from Slippery Rock University. I am trained in trauma therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
I have worked with people who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulties in relationships, substance use disorders and life transitions. I work to provide an open and safe place for clients to connect with themselves as they are the experts of their life. I use a gentle approach while helping clients navigate their stories and find their answers. I foster and believe in the authenticity of the therapeutic relationship and how this is a source of strength for change. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
