Karin Dremel, MTS
Psychotherapist - Masters in Theological Studies, Staatl. Gepr. Heilpraktikerin
Mira Rothenberg writes in ‘Children With Emerald Eyes: Histories of Extraordinary Boys and Girls’, “…there is beauty, there is hope, there is strength and there is tremendous energy to be utilized, no matter wether in the ‘good’ or in the ‘bad’ .”
I will meet you in this spirit: the good, the brilliant, the bad, the ugly, the resilient, and the resourced. I will first and foremost be curious to learn about the person who made it all the way through everything and on the phone with me
To remove ‘charge’ from past events and explore new ways of self-regulation we will share the gift of mindfulness, focus on body awareness and sensations, and integrate fragmented parts of your experience and of your self. Our inter-personal resonance will support the growth of new neural pathways, different from the past, and in time new and exciting choices, such as you never may have imagined, will become available to you.
Tools are: tracking sensations and impulses — exploring adequate reactions to impact — looking for and finding new behavioral choices (i.e boundaries, self-expression, self esteem, and more) — anchoring experiences through and in movement — reframing and ‘unwinding’ traumatic experiences — reframing experiences within their historical, cultural, gender, and family lineage context — using interpersonal neurobiology (simply put: our relationship), imagery, art and ritual to invite and ground change — in some instances (never mandatory) we may include touch.
I also facilitate process oriented Systemic Constellation Work (SCW), a group based modality. Please find information and workshop schedule on www.ancestor-matters.com.
