Julie Fotheringham
Psychotherapist, Psychoanalyst, LCSW -
Welcome. My office is open for meeting in person for those who feel safe, otherwise I continue to offer sessions by video or phone.
During these uncertain times, it’s understandable that you might be anxious or depressed. Or perhaps there’s something you’ve been struggling with for a long time. Whatever moves you to enter therapy now—whether it be isolation, worries about the future, general dissatisfaction with your life, relationship difficulties, a creative block, immobilizing depression, anxiety, addiction, or the question: “why continue?”—I welcome you to speak with me about it.
I listen with an ear attuned to what may unconsciously be causing your suffering and keeping you stuck. This process can undo undermining patterns, allowing you freedom from them and opening a way towards a richer, more satisfying life.
A bit about me: I’m a licensed clinical social worker with postgraduate training in psychoanalysis. I also continue to work creatively as a dance movement artist. If you’re curious about how I may help you in your unique situation, I invite you to contact me to schedule an initial session.
