Judith Tischler
Marriage & Family Therapist - PhD, LMFT
I want to help you feel better using empirically validated methods. Your unique issues and challenges will guide the process. I practice Integrative Psychotherapy, believing that there is no single approach that can treat every client in all situations. The integrative approach also refers to the infusion of a person’s personality and needs – integrating the affective, behavioral, cognitive, and physiological systems within one person, as well as addressing social and spiritual aspects. Integrative counselors are not only concerned with what works, but why it works – tailoring therapy to their clients and not the client to the therapy. I have post graduate training in a number of theoretical approaches. They include CBT, EMDR, attachment theory (object-relations), play therapy, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) and the Gottman method for couples. I offer a complimentary 30 minute consultation for those considering which therapist will be the best fit for their unique issues. I work with special needs individuals and families.
