Juan Banda
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist -
Welcome to Therapy with Juan,
Juan is a bilingual therapist fluent in Spanish and English. His experience working with a multiculturally diverse population, both in ministry and in the community has given him a passion for working with individuals from different backgrounds. As a therapist, Juan understands how important it is to have a safe space to process emotional and spiritual difficulties. He supports clients who desire to talk about both their mental health and spiritual experiences and how the two may connect.
Juan desires to understand each client’s pain and help bring transformation to their thoughts, feelings, and relational patterns. He utilizes Internal Family Systems to help people understand and transform their inner world. Additionally, Juan is informed in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is an empirically validated therapy that provides a safe environment to explore oneself and others and facilitates deeper, more meaningful connections with family, partners, friends, and colleagues. He is trained in Motivational Interviewing, a helpful tool to help identify strengths and facilitate growth. Recently, Juan has received advanced training from PESI (Professional Education Systems Institute) as Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
Juan is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #131602. His faith has provided the anchor and value system that motivated him to become a therapist.
