Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I help people develop self-acceptance and self-compassion using humanistic counseling techniques and mindfulness meditation. If you are grieving, depressed, anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, angry, lonely or confused, I am here to help. I really enjoy working with people who are experiencing spiritual/existential concerns, which often involves a sense of feeling separate from the world, not feeling good enough, or believing that something is fundamentally wrong with us. Exposing the false nature of these feelings/beliefs allows us access to an inner peace and joy in relationships.
Person-centered counseling helps to establish a safe and trusting relationship with every person I work with. There is a big difference in knowing we are safe and feeling safe. I use mindfulness meditation during sessions to help people free themselves from thoughts, bodily sensations, and perceptions that are causing unnecessary suffering.
You will be greeted with a smile and dignity from day one. You are welcome to sit quietly and enjoy a cup of tea with me while the session unfolds naturally. I do not consider myself an authority in the counseling relationship, but rather a fellow traveller who is honored to walk with you on your journey. I look forward to hearing from you.
