Jordan Elias
Creative Arts Therapist -
I’m a board-certified music therapist focused on using creativity to support emotional healing and personal growth. I offer counseling to work through challenges while also exploring ways to incorporate the therapeutic use of music in your daily life.
Therapy sessions are an open and nonjudgmental space where I aim to be alongside you as you find clarity and address your goals, not tell you what to do. As a music therapist, my work centers around the idea that music can help us access and express emotions that might otherwise be hard to put into words, help us regulate and stay grounded, and get in touch with our truest selves. I incorporate this into therapy sessions by exploring how the use of listening, recording, guided reflection, playlist making, and other creative prompts in between sessions can support your mental health and wellbeing.
My approach is informed by an understanding of how life experiences, especially those from childhood and family dynamics, shape our beliefs and behaviors. I aim to provide a space to talk through problems, relationships, and boundaries, while also finding ways music can interrupt the constant loops of thoughts that keep us feeling stuck in our patterns.
