Miranda Campbell
Licensed Clinical Social Worker -
I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns providing services that span from therapy for relationship issues, depression and stress management to postpartum support, and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for. I use methods including Brainspotting and Attachment-Based Therapy.
My clients often present with concerns pertaining to:
Struggles with relationship boundaries
Living a life they did not envision for themselves
Wanting a new way to exist within their relationships
Feeling unheard and/or underestimated
Constantly beating themselves up
Feeling as if they are not a “good enough” ______________ within their family, interpersonal, and professional relationships
Experiencing a dip in their mood which has led to isolation and not having the drive to do the things they once had before
Difficulties with letting go of unwanted and unhelpful thoughts about themselves and others
My Core Beliefs
There are two major concepts that shape the way I work with the individuals I serve. The first is that there is nothing wrong with you. While at the same time, you have the desire to continue growing. As your therapist or coach, I will guide you through accepting this contradictory truth as it is where the healing and growth occurs.
The second concept is that we are whole beings. While we may think that relationship and communication issues only exist in one part of our lives, it is safe to bet that it also exists in other parts. Through our time together, I will help you recognize the themes and patterns in how you relate to others. We then will work to shift the patterns so that you are your happiest, most successful self.
Why I Love This Field
Before I even knew what a Social Worker was, I’ve been passionate about working to reduce the stigma of mental health. Over the years, I have found myself happiest serving in environments that reduce barriers to care for marginalized populations with mental health conditions. My work with people who live with eating disorders, mood disorders, and psychosis has opened my eyes to the need for specialized resources and care. I truly believe that my work as a Clinical Social Worker is bigger than me and I am dedicated to supporting individuals and their families that would not have otherwise sought out services.
My Background
My interest in the development of others has blossomed into over a decade-long passion as I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Biola University. After graduating from the University of Southern California with a Masters in Social Work, I began developing a focus in helping individuals with the most severe and persistent mental illnesses. I have worked to stabilize individuals in crisis to prevent psychiatric hospitalization, incarceration, among an array of other issues that impair the independent and relational functioning of individuals.
