Joelle Kallio
Psychologist -
In the work that I do I focus on the client’s experience of the problem and seek to help each person identify what problem solving and coping skills they have and ways to implement those.I also coach people in using skills to manage the problems brought to therapy and seek to educate each individual about the methods of cognitive therapy and coping skills training. In the therapy I provide, I find it most helpful to examine the client’s perspective and seek to follow the goals that are brought to the therapy relationship. I consider therapy to be a process in which the client is in charge and the work we do is informed by the individual’s experience, thoughts, and preferences.
