Jodi Walker
Licensed Mental Health Counselor -
As I sit here trying to figure out how to write a brilliant statement to help me get noticed, I have come to the conclusion that most of the time this is what life is all about. We are all given a blank sheet in the beginning and what gets put on that blank sheet determines our outcome. The life experiences that have filled my pages have helped shape me into what I have become today. My endurance of difficult times and willingness to persevere in the face of obstacles makes me unique.I believe I am right for the counseling field because my pages have given me the compassion needed to have a deeper understanding of others challenges. I believe that when human beings experience suffering, trauma, or severe life stressors it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is to bring healing to those who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience, or who or struggling to manage their life because of some other mental health issue. It is my goal to help my clients; find healthy perceptions of themselves, strengthen their relationships; and know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole, and safe.I know that no one single approach is the right one for every individual, so I have been trained in a range of modalities. My education with the University of Phoenix and Argosy University, put me in a unique position to be able to network with professionals actively working in the counseling field, while obtaining my education. If this chapter of my pages shows the motivation I have toward my work. Just think of how much I would have toward you.
