Life can often be overwhelming causing excess stress and hardships. It’s easy for us to let it go so far that we don’t know what steps to take or where to turn. We don’t want to burden others with our problems but really need the support. Do you sometimes feel as though things aren’t going to get better? Maybe you’ve lost confidence, feel distant or alone but put on a smile for those around you to pretend everything is okay. These situations can often cause our relationships to suffer and we end up feeling guilty for the inability to spend quality, enjoyable time with our family.
I really enjoy working with individuals to address issues such as depression, anxiety, hardship, parenting stressors, trauma and other factors that can disrupt their life. I utilize many different approaches tailored to your personality and strengths to build the outcome you desire. Techniques I use include Play Therapy, Brainspotting and CBT.
Finding a therapist that understands you and won’t judge is often the task that keeps people from seeking counseling. My clients appreciate my straight forward and relaxed approach.
