Jesse Kahn
LCSW
My approach pulls from both intuition and theoretical orientations. I believe in the co-creation of a therapeutic space that is affirming, strengths-based, interactive, nurturing, and supportive. My caring and warm nature allows for empathetic listening listening and collaboration. I believe that that safe exploration of relational patterns, concerns, fears, shame and desire is crucial in therapy. I focus on identifying patterns and belief systems, where and why they originated, figuring out what works and what no longer works, and identifying and strengthening your inner resources. The aim of my practice is to guide you in creating a more peaceful and fulfilling life that is unique to you.
I have experience working with a range of issues and concerns relating to: gender identity, sexual orientation, depression, anxiety, survivors of violence and abuse, relationships, familial conflict, parents with LGBTQ identified or questioning children, sexual anxiety, intimacy, addiction, and HIV/AIDS. I am particularly competent regarding gender identity, sexual orientation, ethical non-monogamy/polyamory, kink/BDSM, and fetish sexualities.
