Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW-R
Feeling able to connect and communicate is the foundation of any relationship. The need to feel heard and understood is universal to all people. The relationship between the client and the therapist is a very unique one. I believe that the therapeutic process is a collaborative one in which the client and the therapist both take active roles. I provide clients with a safe, nonjudgemental and nurturing environment in which the client is able to better understand who they are, what has brought them to this point in their life and where they would like to see themselves in the future.I am a graduate of New York University school of social work. My experience as a therapist spans more than 20 years. Over the years she has worked with individuals from many cultural backgrounds and belief systems, and have addressed a wide variety of issues with her clients.Every person is an individual with different life experiences, values, thoughts, and feelings. With that said, her approach is Insight oriented psychodynamic psychotherapy based on the need of the particular person she is working with at the time and not on a specific theory or diagnosis.
