Jatera Maing
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
Greetings! My name is Jatera Maing and I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist specializing in Trauma Focused Care for Adults, Adolescents and Children. I graduated in 2011 from Eastern Michigan University with my MSW degree in Family & Children Services. I also have been trained as a Level-1 Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist by the National Institute for Trauma and Loss. I have 15 plus years of clinical and case management experience across a variety of settings and age groups. I use a blend of evidence-based programs and practices including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused and Sensory-based treatment modalities to support clients in strengthening their personal well-being. I am particularly concerned with the impact of Trauma recovery. Individuals who have gone through Trauma experiences often struggle with associated symptoms & behaviors. These Trauma symptoms are brain reactions triggered by our natural survival instincts. These symptoms can linger even past the original incident. By allowing the person the opportunity to safely work through their experiences, using a sensory-based treatment approach, significant relief can be achieved. I am happy to provide this safe, structured environment to allow your healing journey to begin.
