Jason Powers

Counselor -

This counselor, Jason Powers, MA, LLPC, employs a holistic approach to therapy that considers a client’s mind, body and spiritual connectedness. To do this, the counselor utilizes the most current scientific research and studies to ‘explain’ and ‘treat’ the client’s problems. The therapy also looks at two aspects of the client’s problem(s); the emotional side (why you feel that way, why you behave that way), and also the practical side (how do we fix this, how do we get your needs met). This counselor believes that people possess the power to control their thoughts, change their feelings and ultimately modify destructive behaviors and patterns. The goal of treatment is to help the client lower their; emotional turmoil, symptom reduction, and/or to reframe the presenting problem(s) so that they feel better and happier. Therefore, the counselor and client will develop a treatment plan that will list the areas they want to work on including the client’s goals while in therapy.
