Jared LCSW
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW
Hi, I’m Jared! I know that finding a therapist can be a daunting task, and there can be a lot of hurdles to receiving therapy and finding the right therapist. As you are considering the right fit, I’ll tell you a little about myself and my approach to therapy. I believe, especially recently, that connection with others is life-giving and essential to function healthily and thrive. So finding a therapist that you feel secure and comfortable with is unquestionably a crucial role in therapy. I think each person is the expert on their own lives, and I feel honored to empower and work with them on their goals. I try to understand each person as a holistic individual (biologically, psychologically, socially, culturally, and spiritually). My approach to working with individuals is a non-judgmental approach with unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and empathetic understanding. I also incorporate other approaches, including a more directive approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when our thoughts negatively inform our reality. I wish to provide a safe and judgment-free place to process life with its opportunities and obstacles. I hope to offer an affirming experience for each individual to cope better with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and other mental health concerns. I graduated with my Master’s degree in Social Work from a joint program between Texas Woman’s University and the University of North Texas in 2019. I have served clients for several years through psychiatric hospitals, with transcranial magnetic stimulation, university counseling, and a clinical outpatient fellowship conducting psychotherapy. I hope to join you on your journey to better mental health! If you are interested, I invite you to contact me, check out my website, or send me a message! I offer telehealth services that provide a convenient and safe way to meet with clients during the pandemic.
