Jacqueline Elster
Psychologist - PsyD
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, effective March 16, 2020, all appointments are being conducted over a secure video platform or over the telephone. Please note I am still accepting new clients.
Healing starts with hope. Everyone goes through times of struggle in life and needs extra support to help make it through the difficult times. Whether you are struggling to cope with a crisis or loss, attempting to overcome emotional obstacles including anxiety and depression, or trying to adjust to transitions in life such as starting a new career or relationship, my goal is the same. I provide high quality psychotherapy that empowers, renews and transforms.
As a psychologist, I provide holistic treatment that addresses the emotional blocks and negative thought patterns that can keep you stuck and prevent you from achieving the quality of life they desire. My goal is to collaborate with you to identify their strengths to overcome the problems that led them to seek therapy. My work facilitates healing from trauma and enhances coping with life stressors by developing resiliency skills and whole-heartedness. Professionally, I have advanced training and experience working with trauma, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression and insomnia.
Working for the VA for the past 6 years, I helped veterans heal the invisible wounds they received from combat and other traumatic experiences. Now, I am able to provide therapy to the wider community as well as veterans.I love what I do, and that comes through in my work. Please feel free to contact me to learn more about my practice or to set up a free phone consultation.
