Isbell Oliva-Garcia

Licensed Mental Health Counselor -

My name is Isbell Oliva-Garcia and I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician and founder and clinician of The Lina Center for Mental Wellness, an online mental health center.  I am fluent in English and Spanish languages. I received both my master’s degrees from Nova SE University in mental health counseling and developmental disabilities. I am also a Ph.D. candidate.  I have been in the field of mental health for almost 10 years helping adults and children with mental health issues and disorders to include depression, anxiety, and issues during difficult life transitions. I counsel individuals through grief due to a loss, clients experiencing divorce, empty nest, and loss of jobs and/or change of careers. Transitions can be difficult and when we get stuck, I can help with psychological therapies using Cognitive Behavior Therapy. As a mental health clinician, everyone’s mental health is important and vital at every stage of one’s life. Our emotional, psychological and social well-being all affect how we act, think and feel. These aspects also help us on how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices for ourselves. Mental Health counseling is vital when our emotional, psychological, or social wellbeing goes off track and starts affecting our daily functioning, our relationships personally or work-related, and /or our social wellbeing. In situations related to life changes and transitions, one can fall into states of worry and anxiety about the future, which can lead to sadness, anxiety, and possible depression due to the potential changes or loss which can come with difficult transitions of life. These changes in one’s life are at times difficult to manage alone. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!  I can help guide and coach you through these difficult times and help you see more possibilities and abilities that each person has within. For life to go well and stable the mind must be nourished continuously to assure mental wellness. My treatment approaches include:Cognitive Behavioral TherapyBehavior Change TherapiesSolution Based TherapyMindfulness trainingI look forward to working with you and showing you how to nourish your mind so your brain can flourish through the waters of change.
