Dr. Irene Yaymadjian
Marriage & Family Therapist -
Being a new mom is not all about instagram posts and yoga classes. Sometimes it can be very lonely, extremely emotionally draining, and psychologically challenging. Asking for help can be difficult, even scary sometimes, especially when you are comparing yourself to the perfection that you perceive of your surroundings. It takes courage to take the first step to start to feel like yourself again. Therapy could be that step. Emotions are involuntary. We can’t help what we feel, that is why we need to talk and be heard. You’re not alone.
I specialize in working with women experiencing relational and interpersonal difficulties due to postpartum depression / anxiety. I also work with individuals who struggle with low self esteem, struggles pertaining to social media, finding themselves due to life transition, and individuals who are exploring their sexuality.
I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy however, I use various mindfulness methods in conjunction to art therapy, and writings in sessions all catered to each unique individual. I believe it is important to help create a safe space to foster the exploration of your story, to help you live an independent happy life.
