Heather Fraser
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW -
We all need a little help from time to time. Especially now, when life throws us a curveball and we need help processing things like loss, anxiety, life transitions, heartache, and depression. Going it alone is possible, but whew, it’s not easy. I’m a mental health professional and have “just sucked it up” several times in my life. When I slogged it out on my own there were bouts of prolonged frustration, sadness, loss, and confusion. When I did finally “get it together already” and saw a therapist, I felt clearer, more like myself and had a sense of hope that it would get better and it usually did.
Flexibility is key in effective therapy. I hope to uniquely support you in your journey towards growth. It is important to tailor an approach to each individual’s needs. In our initial conversations, we’ll talk about what kind of support you may be looking for and what your goals might be. Collaborating is important & we will check in throughout the process.
Hope is a big part of what makes therapy work. I wouldn’t be in this game if I didn’t have the belief that we can all get better at life. Sometimes it’s hard to find but it’s what pulls us through. I will help you find this sense of hope and your motivation to change and work to help you maintain this over time. Let’s connect and see if we may be a good fit.
