Heather Chapman
Licensed Mental Health Counselor LPC -
You don’t have to face life’s challenges on your own. You might be telling yourself that you should be stronger or should be able to handle everything life throws your way. These “shoulds” can lead to feeling disconnected from the people in your life, decreased energy and motivation, problems caring for yourself, and even increased use of alcohol or other substances to avoid unhappy thoughts and feelings. Beginning the process of therapy can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and begin to develop skills to handle life’s challenges in a better way.
In therapy, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I use a variety of therapy techniques, including identifying problematic thoughts and behaviors, exploring relationships, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques. My therapeutic approach encourages development of curiosity and compassion towards yourself.
I have available appointments on Monday – Thursday. Email me to set up a free phone consultation to discuss the process of therapy and to determine how we can begin working towards your goals.
