Hayley Blomquist
Pre-Licensed Professional - M.Ed
I often work with adults feeling stuck – maybe it’s in obsessive thought patterns, chronic anxiety, crippling self-doubt, perfectionism or people-pleasing. It may also involve difficulty regulating emotions, either feeling too much or too little of them. These patterns can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating, and I believe the therapeutic relationship can be a powerful vehicle for healing.
I value a collaborative, warm approach and utilize a range of trauma-informed modalities to best fit a person’s needs and goals. Research consistently shows that the best predictor of therapeutic outcomes is the relationship, so I encourage you to listen to your intuition and find connection in this search. It’s important to like and trust your therapist! As a white cis woman, I am committed to acknowledging how my identity might influence the relationship and believe showing up with authenticity is essential to developing rapport.
I have an MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, and have received an MA in Women’s Studies and Gender Studies and a BS in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. I have also undergone training in trauma-informed practices and Coherence Therapy, and committed to upholding the highest standards of practice. If something in my approach resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
