Gioia Garden (she/her)
Psychotherapist -
I take a holistic and contextual approach to therapy. I want to know your sources of pain – but I also want to know what you value, what has shaped you, where you draw inspiration, your beliefs, and how you feel in your own body. We’ll peel back layers, process mental and emotional distress, and build practical tools to manage the challenges you’re facing. Ultimately, we’ll build a more authentic, empowered sense of self. If something is no longer serving you, let’s figure out how to change it.
I identify as a queer cis-woman and I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals. My areas of focus include sexuality, anxiety, relationships, life-transitions, trauma, depression, and identity. I primarily draw on mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Therapy is hard work, and I’ll challenge you, but I also believe it can be fun and we can even laugh along the way. I meet my clients with compassion, curiosity, and an open-mind. My hope is that you will be motivated and courageous in our work together. I look forward to connecting.
