Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LICSW
It is ok to ask for help.
Your mind knows this, but you feel a sense of unease as you try to find the balance each day between what’s right for you and what’s right for your loved ones.
You are fiercely independent: able to handle the to-do list, and your friends & family can always count on you. When you have built a life on putting others first, it can be petrifying to ask for help and to admit to having needs. But-you also know therapy has worked for you in the past when you have struggled to find a way forward in your relationship, career, creative, or inner life.
My specialty is guiding people on their own paths to their truths, their feelings and needs and communicate effectively, using a combination of strengths-based, mindfulness-based, and attachment theory perspectives. As you work with me, you begin to notice that you are more aware of a mind-body connection that makes things even more clear.
Learning self-compassion and asking for what you need can be a daunting process, and it is also a rich one. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how we can work together towards your fuller, more satisfying life!
“Only through our connectedness to others can we really know and enhance the self. And only through working on the self can we begin to enhance our connectedness to others.” Harriet Lerner
