Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW
I believe that people are already whole and not in need of fixing.
However, there are times when we get stuck or lost and forget our wise and loving true nature. Sometimes we learn to protect ourselves from harm in ways that can cause us to become disconnected—from others, or from parts of ourselves that don’t feel safe being expressed.
It is possible to alleviate suffering and to learn how to find comfort even in the midst of our pain. We can learn how to dis-identify with our suffering and reconnect with our wholeness. We can learn how to let go of strategies that no longer serve us and welcome parts of ourselves that were banished so that we can live more fully and freely.
Using a collaborative, compassionate, and mindfulness-based approach, I aim to help people develop a kinder relationship with themselves, live more authentically, and find a way to lovingly communicate their needs and boundaries. I offer a warm and safe relationship within which people have an opportunity to practice being with themselves and another in a new way.
I specialize in working with people who are helpers–personally or professionally–who take better care of others than themselves. We work towards liberation from perfectionism, people pleasing, self-neglect, and self-criticism, so they can serve and connect to others from a place of wholeness.
