Esra Nihan Bridge
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist -
When I began my career, I had a vision.
I wanted to help people find meaningful, healthy connections and help them discover a better way of living. After more than a decade of professional experience in the field, I have a keen understanding of the complexities of the relationships we build. As a Licensed Couple and Family Therapist, I focus on both the individual and the relationship unit when working with my clients to open up lines of communication. This comprehensive approach sets me apart from the rest.
As a culturally competent therapist with extensive international experience, I enjoy working with individuals and couples from all backgrounds. I am Bilingual and Turkish, having completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Istanbul University before earning a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences there. I went on to earn my second Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University.
I cater to a variety of clients, and I specialize in relationship issues, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss. During my career, I have counseled hundreds of individuals, couples, and families, taught seminars and classes worldwide, and spent more than ten years helping clients in the field.
Using evidence-based psychotherapy methods, I love helping my clients overcome and persevere no matter how they might have felt when they first came to me. I am passionate about helping people gain insight into their thoughts, unhelpful beliefs, and behavioral patterns that hold them back in life. My trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Brainspotting, and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy allow me the flexibility and freedom to customize my approach based on my client’s needs.
More than anything, I want you to know that change is possible. Change can be daunting and scary, but these emotions are what make you human. By learning to manage the complex feelings and emotions that creep into our everyday lives, we can become healthy participants in every relationship we have in life.
I know we can find meaning and purpose in your life, and we can work on rebuilding healthy relationships with yourself, your partner, your family, and others.
