Counselor - LPC
**I am not accepting new clients at this time** You have been through some rough things in your life and you’ve come such a long way. In fact, you’ve worked really hard to get where you are today. And lately, you’ve been feeling anxious, fuzzy, irritable, and are having a hard time making simple decisions. You feel distant from people and your faith and it’s getting lonely. It’s not as if your whole life is falling apart, but you’ve known that you need to do something about how you’re feeling and it’s been nagging at you for a while. It feels a little like admitting defeat to come to therapy, but you also know it would be a relief to have someone to hold space for you so you figure out what is going on and get to feeling more clear.
You’re not super ambitious and you don’t want a fake-perfect dream life. But you do want to stop getting so bowled over by your emotions and swirling thoughts. You want to get through tough conversations without second-guessing yourself for days (or weeks) afterwards. Mostly, you want to feel more settled and sure of yourself. I’m not going to tell you want to do — you get enough of that anyway — but I will get in there with you so you can start sorting things out and find your way.
I offer the option for distance counseling sessions to make it easier to keep consistent appointments when the weather gets wild or if you travel frequently for work. Clients who work with me tell me they appreciate my patience and how I help them work with the hard parts of their faith and spirituality in an open and supportive way (no pat answers, simple Bible verses, or admonition to pray more here). I’d love to hear from you. Visit my website to learn more about me and to get in touch to schedule an appointment.
