Erica Smuckler
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
When your child needs help communicating their feelings, you need someone you can trust. With compassion, patience, and understanding, I can help your child handle challenges and achieve success. Through my work in schools and private practice, I have developed an eclectic understanding of the difficulties children face. For over 10 years, I have counseled children, adolescents, and families using many approaches that work for them. In our work together, I will take the time to understand your child’s needs and help them apply the skills they learn. Your child has a bright future ahead of them. I would love to help.
Counseling can provide an outlet for children to grow. I use a variety of approaches to help young children express their emotions and learn ways to interact with the world. I help children learn friendship-making social skills, increase their self-confidence, combat bullying, and manage anxiety.
During my 10+ years as a licensed clinical social worker and certified school psychologist, I have helped many children manage their emotions. I often draw from cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapy. My specialty is in working with children and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, social skills, and social anxiety.
I am also available for telehealth/distance therapy sessions.
