Emily Hanlon
Counselor -
Do you meet your responsibilities while struggling with self-critical thoughts and fear that robs you of feeling presence and peace in your life? Maybe you’ve tried therapy or self help techniques before and feel like you’re spinning your wheels. I am passionate about helping working professionals, creatives and young adults who struggle with a sense of unworthiness no matter what accomplishments or milestones they surpass. I know how hard it is to appear “together” while struggling with anxiety or the effects of past experiences. My goal is to help you to not just better cope, but to thrive in your life.
My approach includes addressing worry/fear to make way for you to internalize positive beliefs about yourself (EMDR), practical tools to help you understand your emotions and live mindfully (DBT), greater insight and strategies to live in alignment with what fulfills you (ACT), and understanding your inner resources (IFS).
As a therapist, it’s important for me to bring my authentic self to session and create a space for you to do the same. We’ll work through the tough stuff, while also making space for humor and creativity. I provide teletherapy to provide flexible scheduling and effective treatment techniques while you engage in healing work in the comfort of your own space.
