Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-C -
Hi! My name is Emily (they/them) and I deeply value clients feeling heard and believed. It is a profound privilege to walk with clients as they journey toward wellness–exploring their struggles, hopes, identities, and beyond. I practice a holistic, intersectional, person-centered approach to therapy.
I have a broad background in traumatic stress, expressive arts, and theology. I have worked with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, body image struggles, disordered eating, coming out, transitioning, dissociation, relationship conflict, acute and complex trauma, and more. I have a particular passion for working with people of all ages dealing with the effects of complex trauma, working through attachment issues within foster and adopted families, and working with LGBTQIA+ children, adolescents and their families. I also have a growing experience in working with autistic adolescents and adults.
I use modalities ranging from expressive arts and movement to Cognitive Processing Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Above all, I take an approach that responds to what feels comfortable and right for you.
