Elle Bernfeld
Psychotherapist - LCSW, MA
Are you are an artist, entertainer, or creative professional struggling with your mental health? Whether you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression due to your career, or finding that your symptoms are hindering you personal or professional life, I am here to say: you are not alone and do not have to feel that way!
Working in the arts has a unique set of demands and requires, at times, large sacrifices. My prior experience working in the arts helps me to empathize with my clients, and better understand how to address their concerns. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach to tailor the therapy to the individual needs of my clients. I take an active approach in sessions, speaking up to ask questions, offer coping skills, teach psychoeducation, or offer perspective and insight. My aim is to create a safe space and foster a trusting relationship for clients to feel empowered and accepted.
While the ups and downs of working in the arts are here to stay, it is still possible to work in your field without feeling like you are on a rollercoaster! While feeling misunderstood is often associated with being an artist AND mental health, therapy is a place where you can strive to feel understood and heard. If you are hoping to explore your potential to reach new personal and professional goals, reach out today and we can schedule a free 15 minute call to begin this process together.
