I am a Licensed clinical social worker and a Licensed clinical addiction specialist with over 21 years of experience in diagnostic evaluation, clinical psychotherapy and addiction treatment. I am also experienced in community outreach and psychoeducation, program administration, clinical supervision and training. My greatest joy is to motivate, inspire and encourage my clients and other professionals as an agent of hope and change. Kindness, humor and empathy are my trademark.I have dedicated my career to helping people and seeking to improve their systems and organizations that work with and service people. I believe in teaching and empowering my clients to be their own advocates and work with community partners and allies to address issues in our community. I encourage clients to understand, recognize and utilize their strengths to overcome their obstacles to a better life. I am extremely enthusiastic about the mental and substance use health field and welcome the challenge of helping clients and their loved ones. I confront problems with a teamwork approach and solution focus orientation. True treatment recovery takes place when the client choses to go through the process, rather than going above or below it.I have a master’s degree in social work from Fordham University in New York and bachelor’s degree in psychologist from the City College of New York. I am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.I am fully fluent in Spanish. My main hobbies are gardening and baking. Above all, I believe, faith, motivation and hope are main keys to embrace wellness and to reach your best self.
