Donna Rose
Licensed Mental Health Counselor - LPC
AVAILABILITY UPDATE: For the remainder of 2020 I’m not able to accept new clients. Please feel free to get in contact again later in 2020 to inquire about my availability in January 2021. Thank you.
I work effectively with many common issues including stress, anxiety, sleep issues, parenting, major changes or decisions, career change, improving health, and more. I use a brief solution-focused approach in helping you create your “best version of yourself” with typically requires only 2 to 12 sessions to achieve your goals. We can meet by secure online video if more convenient or if you live outside of the Austin area. I offer an initial free consultation to help you decide if we are a good match. Session times range from 15 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on your needs, goals, and other factors. I offer flexible scheduling, including online video sessions outside of business hours, and weekly sessions are not required in most cases.
I am a best fit for individuals who have a clear idea of the specific changes they would like to make in themselves or their lives, who are highly motivated and committed to making the time and space required for working together to achieve those goals, and who are willing to try new behaviors and perspectives in the process. Note: I am not able to assist with all types of issues, so please read the list of issues below of issues I am not currently working to help you more quickly find the right kind of help.
I believe that optimal well-being is achieved by integrating mind, body, heart, and spirit and also that self-understanding, self-awareness, and self-compassion can open the door to a more authentic and deeply satisfying life. I specialize in counseling adults and young adults who are generally functioning well overall in their lives, but have hit a speed bump on the road of life, who can’t seem to get traction in a specific area or who find themselves at a crossroads facing a big decision or transition. In addition to solution-focused counseling, I teach mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral skills help you sustain changes successfully long-term.
