My name is Denise Gilmour and I am a psychotherapist with an office in Gilbert, AZ. I have been working in the field of behavioral health for 30 years. I consider myself ageneralist, meaning I see individuals between the ages of 19 and 65 years of age with a variety of problems. However, I have developed more in-depth experience andknowledge in the areas of anxiety disorders, panic disorder and adoptee issues. My therapeutic approach could best be described as insight-oriented. One of the main goals in this therapeutic approach is to assist individuals in understanding howearlier relationships with significant others influences our perceptions of self and others. These perceptions, which are sometimes distorted, can continue to affect usand act as barriers to having healthy relationships in the present.
