David Katzenstein
Psychotherapist - LCSW-R
In my practice my goal is to collaborate with each client to develop a highly tailored treatment plan which best suits your needs. The goal of therapy is for each client to become his or her own therapist; to develop the skills and tools needed so that one doesn’t need therapy forever. I firmly believe in both the process and practical components of therapy- that talking about one’s challenges in a safe, warm environment is inherently therapeutic, but one also needs practical tools and skills to make real and long-lasting changes.
I see individuals with a host of issues including anxiety, depression, abuse/trauma, self-esteem, behavior disorders, and family and relationship conflict. I have advanced clinical training in psychodynamic and behavioral modalities, and specializes trauma-focused treatment.
As a practicing therapist and an adjunct professor of psychology, I understand the importance of receiving empathetic and effective care for your or your child. If you are looking for qualified, experienced and compassionate therapist, call or e-mail anytime. Sunday appointments available. Skype sessions can be arranged as well. My office is conveniently located in the heart of Midwood. Free initial phone consultation.
