Dana Rummery
Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor -
As a registered and board certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor I’ve been helping patients and their families navigate the difficulties of illness, loss, and major life changes for over 18 years. I can help if you are managing chronic illness, isolation, caregiver burnout, grief, or going through a life change and trying to find direction, purpose, and meaning in your days. I am experienced in helping people find joy, meaning, and connection again despite the challenges life throws at us.
As a person that’s taking care of everyone else, you don’t remember the last time you watered your own garden (or where the heck the watering can even is). And even though you’re seriously doing a gold-star kind of job taking care of everyone around you, you’re exhausted, burnt out, and wondering when this drought is going to stop. Oh, and by the way, you ARE allowed to fill your own water tank…without feeling guilty and while still caregiving or helping others heal around you. What if you could find a little peace in your day as you do all the 879 things on your list?
Whether you’re grieving the loss of an important person in your life, you’re a professional caregiver, caring for young or elderly loved ones, or finding a hard time caring for yourself…what if you could do something to help life feel less heavy? Imagine finally feeling lighter, like you have more energy for other parts of your life. What if you could find joy and REST in the day-to-day?
Along with expertise, I’ll bring some laughter, some lightness, and some ease into our sessions.I look forward to talking with you and figuring out how I can best help you in this difficult season of life. Telehealth is available across Pennsylvania. In-home and In-Nature sessions take place within a 5 mile radius of North West Philadelphia around the Wissahickon Park.
