Conway Weary

Counselor - LPC, CHT, LMBT

I have a somatically oriented approach to therapy and utilize the models of Hakomi, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and EMDR.

There are four keystone values that define my work. One is the development of client resources. I serve my clients so that they feel more connected to their inner wisdom, more alive, embodied, confident and expressive of their purpose. Secondly, we all need tools for managing the symptoms of trauma, stress and developmental wounding. These tools are best when they are inclusive of the body and spirit, and developed in accordance with an individual’s unique styles of knowing and learning. I work directly to help re-pattern a client’s breathing patterns when needed, and give a great deal of attention to helping a client modulate their nervous systems effectively. A third keystone value is the recognition and transformation of self-limiting belief systems attachment wounding, and the stuck psychic and somatic markers of trauma. Finally, we all need to Know and Be Known. I value the therapeutic relationship highly and give great attention and regard to my client’s sense of safety and choice.
