Connie Maney

Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW

Losing independence due to health issues can cause you to feel vulnerable sometimes for the first time in your life. This is a huge adjustment and something that our society isn’t often so understanding or supportive around . As things are being taken away, ability to continue activities of daily living or no longer being able to drive, you must allow yourself time to adjust. These losses can multiply over time and are exhausting to carry around. It is a burden to need someone, even when you have a wonderful & loving support system there must be time and space to grieve the life being left behind as you are discovering the one that awaits ahead.
