Christopher Michael
Psychologist -
I help you recover from, absorb, and adapt to shocks and difficult changes in your relationships, workplace, roles, goals, and purpose. These problems can lead to feelings of desperation, defeat, and confusion, as well as conflict and self-criticism. Yet, I believe “Problems are the outward signs of unused inner possibilities” (Rollo May).
For new possibilities to emerge, you need a trusted guide who responds with openness, precision, empathy, and patience. When you take in new perspectives, new views on choices, and new compassion, you increase your ability to do those things for yourself. You find a resilient freedom and less feeling of being forced and trapped.
I listen well to really envision how you’re doing and feeling in the world. Then I give back digestible ideas and observations. I think long waits for help are not OK, even if they are common. Call or email; I answer the same, or early next, business day.
Note: For this critical time, I am emphasizing online therapy and telephone therapy. Both use encrypted, HIPAA-compliant systems.
