Chris Avila

Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW -

I work with adults, adolescents, and couples/relationships with people of all backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles with any number of reasons for seeking therapy. I work heavily on topics related to sexual and minority identity, romantic/alternative relationships of all flavors, familial relationships, emotional disturbance, grief, and trauma.I utilize trauma-informed and attachment-based therapy methods to address all aspects of life, identity, and development. My goal is to provide the best care possible in a non-judgmental, warm, and caring atmosphere. Therapy is provided online only until further notice due to the shelter-at-home orders for Dallas County.Life gets difficult sometimes, and I work to help people learn how to care for themselves and one another through deepening awareness, validating all emotions and experiences, and fostering a positive sense of identity and self. If this sounds suited to you, then please reach out so we can begin our work together.
