Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
My primary focus as your therapist is that you feel understood and seen. I work to provide a safe space for you to feel heard, and a space where it is safe to challenge yourself. We will work within this safe space to make connections regarding how your past impacts your present life and with this awareness we will strive to find peace in the present. Together we will identify tools and strategies that you can utilize and practice in your day to day life outside of therapy.
I understand the importance of finding a therapist that is a good fit for you and how challenging that search can feel. I have a broad range of counseling and social work experience and have found success with clients of many different backgrounds and identities. I approach therapy and each client through an intersectional lens and understand that it is vitally important to address the way in which the systems we are a part of impact, cause and contribute to mental health struggles.
As an EMDR trained therapist, I am experienced in working with trauma. I have worked hard to continue to use these effective techniques during the transition to telehealth and remote therapy, with EMDR techniques being a viable remote option for some clients. I believe in the power of processing the thoughts and emotions that come up in your sessions to make new discoveries and connections in your life and to allow you to heal and move forward. I am experienced in a broad range of trauma work, with a particular interest in working with those suffering from spiritual trauma. I have worked with many populations, with a current focus on adults and teenagers for individual therapy and have experience with a wide range of mental health struggles.
