Charles Goldberg

Psychotherapist -

It’s all too easy to lose touch with the things we stand for, as well as with the things that mean most to us. You were whole at one point, which means a path to sanity exists that is waiting to be uncovered. Yet these unhelpful behaviors have been heavily reinforced over time. The change ahead is not going to be easy or comfortable, but you don’t have to face it alone. While working with me, I’m going to help you feel safe and cared for. I will be a person who will always grant you positive regard and acceptance. However, I am not a counselor who merely says “Uh-huh,” and “How does that make you feel?” Past clients have told me that my ability to break down situations and clearly explain relational dynamics helped them to gain new insight into their respective histories and overall functioning. I’m going to push you to be your best self, and I’m going to hold you accountable for it, all while being extremely supportive and nurturing. My approach blends both cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic theories with teachings from philosophy, mythology, and Jewish mysticism.Yes, it actually is as cool as it sounds.
