Caitlin Eckert
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW
Working with a therapist should feel safe, and that is one of my top priorities in our work together. Some of my clients have had therapists before, and some are brand new to therapy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing therapy for over 10 years. I often work with people who have experienced trauma, violence, or are in a life transition.
I am experienced in addressing anxious and depressive symptoms, as well as working with people who want to change their patterns of drug use, or supporting those who choose to use recreationally. I have certifications in working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and many of my clients have experienced childhood sexual violence, or have been in abusive relationships in adulthood.
I additionally work with people who have experienced traumatic loss due to accidents, suicide, overdose, illness, or homicide. Much of my therapeutic work includes working with marginalized communities. This includes supporting sex workers, working with people living with HIV and other chronic health conditions, and providing quality and affirming care to the LGBTQ+ community. I have extensive experience working with people who are on hormone therapy and/or PrEP.I have a completely online practice, so that means we will work together while you’re in the comfort of your home, office, or wherever you need to be for our session.
I believe that a good fit between therapist and client is essential, which is why I offer a free 15-minute introductory session to see if we are a good match. I encourage you to reach out when you are ready so we can talk further about how I can assist you! Please check out my website for further information: www.tothestarstherapy.com
